Love is in the Air 02/14/26

Love Was in the Air at the Valentine’s Dance!

It was a festive and heartwarming evening as neighbors gathered for the annual Valentine’s Day Dance hosted by Innisbrook Drive. Laughter, music, and plenty of romance filled the room as friends came together to celebrate love in all its forms.

A cherished tradition of the evening is honoring couples celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. This year’s golden couples were warmly recognized and applauded for their lasting love and commitment: Tom and Regina Davis, Johnette and Richard Reid, Ben and Sarah Raulvrson, and Richard and Judy Egan. Their remarkable milestones inspired us all and reminded everyone that true love only grows stronger with time.

Our delightful MC for the evening, Jacqueline Bell Farrell, took guests on a nostalgic journey back to 1976, sharing fun highlights of what life looked like 50 years ago. From memorable headlines to pop culture favorites, it was a joyful stroll down memory lane that perfectly complemented the celebration.
The fabulous The Skip Frye Band kept the energy high with music from the era, and the dance floor stayed full all evening long. From sweet slow dances to lively favorites, neighbors of all ages stepped out and showed off their moves.

Adding to the excitement, Marilyn Gerstenberger, Susan Hennis, and Wayne Iles each won $42.00 in the “Share the Wealth” drawing. Rick Legault and Jeff Stowell were delighted winners of a refund on their $10.00 dance tickets — a sweet bonus to an already wonderful night!

It was truly an evening filled with joy, community spirit, and celebration. Events like this remind us how special our Highland Fairways Community truly is — where friendships flourish, traditions endure, and love is always in the air.
